Kickshaw Theatre

Kickshaw Theatre is a new 501(c)3 not-for-profit, professional theatre that will operate under an agreement with the Actors Equity Association, as an Ann Arbor pop-up at different locales during it's 2015-16 season, The Kickshaw team includes: Julia Glander (Executive Director) Lynn Lammers (Artistic Director) Jane Griffith (General Manager) Heidi Bennett (Connectivity Associate) Janice Glander (Development Consultant)

Kickshaw Theatre will be known for uncommon stories and stylistic daring. We invite our audiences to bring their curiosity. We believe that one's perception of the world is one's reality, and by expanding that perception through storytelling, we challenge one's previously held assumptions. Our work will exalt theatre as unique, showcasing the medium at the height of it's powers: magic, beauty, human connection, empathy, and deeper understandings of the human condition.

Connectivity is our approach to attracting new audiences and collaborating and serving our community. We'll be diligent and creative as we build relationships and remove barriers to participation.

Please join us this fall for our inaugural production: THE ELECTRIC BABY by Stefanie Zadravec, is a beautiful, modern day story about how an accident interconnects six very different lives. It is told with humor and poignancy, while weaving Romanian and Nigerian folklore in an American setting.
